MEET YOUR HOSTESS

I am Manuela Stefan, a Canadian-Romanian lifestyle and equine photographer based in Toronto, with a rich, 20+ years career, and a deep passion for adventure and storytelling. I also feel I am a horse spirit connector, guiding others to tap into the subtle energies surrounding herds, and experience ease and joy as a result.

While traveling the world to uncover incredible stories about horses and their people, I have experienced my own share of moments of deep healing through my connection with herds. I have slowly come to feel and understand horse energy on a new level, which prompted the desire to go even deeper.

In 2012 I spent a magical week in California, studying equine massage and energy work, and this experience opened me up further to new ways of being in my own life, while confirming what I was already sensing, that these sensitive powerful beings are here to assist us in so many ways.
They are so willing to give, especially when they feel seen and respected. Isn’t this what we, as humans, ultimately desire?

My written and spoken stories (many published in US and Canadian equestrian magazines) have inspired women to ask if they could join me, thus the idea of the very special horse retreats was born. Since, I have held week long retreats in Mexico, St Lucia and Colombia, and weekend retreats in my home province, Ontario (Canada).

I am absolutely delighted to return to one of my most favourite destinations in the world, and one which truly feels like home for my soul: Mexico. I cherish the special opportunity to share my love for its vibrant culture with you, and I very much look forward to yet another extraordinary women’s get together!

Each retreat participant will have a few special moments captured on camera beautifully, and will receive an elegant, personalized coffee table book, depicting the beauty of the place, with its colourful accents.
As a photographer and story teller, I know how important these keepsakes are for my clients, as they not only stand the test of time, but they preserve and bring back the magic experienced during the retreat.
