Horse and girl portrait Mexico

The horses brought Julie and I together. Since, we have had a magical journey. Originally from Belgium, Julie was in the process of moving to Jamaica (her current home country) when she found my equine work via an article I did about Jamaican horses. She started following my page and sent me a message saying that she would like to ride with me next time I was going to visit the island. Which happened a few times already. We have shared some wonderful moments together, and with our four legged friends.
Yet, I would have not been able to imagine, at the time, where this lovely friendship was going to lead us. Julie learned about the “Horses: Elixir for the Soul” retreat I was going to host at the ever lovely Rancho Las Cascadas in Mexico and signed up for it right away. She also wanted to do a creative shoot with horses prior, so these are some of the wonderful images we have captured one lovely morning in Mexico. Julie loves horses, she connects with them deeply and that shows. These animals love her back!
Julie: thank you for this creative opportunity and can’t wait for our next horsey adventure!

  1. Manuela, you have no idea how happy I am that I send you that message years ago!!!!!! I guess I just felt your vibe, as we say in Jamaica, through your pictures. Your work is amazing. You are so very talented!
Thank you so much for taking these beautiful photos of me. Our friendship means a lot to me!
I’m already looking forward to the next retreat!
